Tru Tech: Facebook “Places”

If you love FourSquare then you’ll love this! If not, God help you! Facebook has just released “Facebook Places.” Places allows users to “Check In” themselves, friends, and find out who is hanging out with who. That’s right! Hanging out with your mildly tech-savvy friends just got creepier. I personally don’t like this. I’m glad that Facebook remembered that we may not want to deal with the new feature. If you already know that you don’t want anything to do with this new feature, you may want to check out the screenshot below and login to Facebook to update your Privacy Settings! RUN FORREST RUN!

I will NOT take part in this new app. So I will run and change my privacy settings. I do use foursquare but, mostly for events that I am apart of that I may be marketing. I am guilty of doing it for retail campaign discounts (Ex: If you check in at the GAP you get 25% off your purchase) same goes for restaurant discounts. Lol!
