I’m really excited about the TV One debut of Fair Game?. This thought-provoking documentary will air on TV One starting Sunday January 31, 2010 at 7:00pm and will air throughout 2010.

About Fair Game?
The election of America’s first Black president — Barack Obama — has given many people the impression that the Black man’s struggle for equality or simply the “level playing field” has been achieved. Black men can strive to be anything they choose, and opportunity and the pathway to it has been made free and clear of obstruction. Sounds great, right? However, is it the truth?
Twenty-First Century Foundation (21CF) asks this question and more of a number of prominent Black males from diverse fields in its innovative documentary film, FAIR GAME? Some of the interviewees in the film include Amar’e Stoudemire, Chris Rock, Spike Lee, Dr. Cornel West, Lou Gossett Jr., Hill Harper, Melvin Van Peebles, Tim’m West, and Geoffrey Canada.
Produced in partnership with actor-director Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City, Baadaasss, Panther) and producer Karen Williams, FAIR GAME? is a new tool in the work of 21CF’s Black Men and Boys Initiative (BMB) aimed at shining a national spotlight on the issues affecting this segment of the population.
FAIR GAME? speaks to adults, and enlists Black men to add their voices to the discussion around education, employment, criminal justice, fatherhood and mental health and share their personal stories of success, the setbacks, the preparation, and the sacrifices they made that brought them ultimate success in their fields. It deals with the complexities in the age of Obama and why the ‘Game’ still isn’t fair.

I saw the documentary on last night, I truly enjoyed it. I’m a Behavioral Specialist in the Memphis City Schools, I deal with many young men that are looking for answers to what the documentary was speaking on. I would truly appreciate head up on the release of this DVD.

This documentary is the best I’ve seen related to black males in America. I have a 23 year old grandson who is fallen into the conspiracy of white american. I must have a copy to enlighten my grandson, and discuss these problemic issues that affects our young black males in America.

I AM WATCHING THIS DOCUMENTARY NOW, THIS IS AWESOME, I AM GOING TO SHOW MY FAMILY,FRIENDS,AND EVERYBODY I KNOW. HOW DO I OURCHASE THIS DOCUMENTARY? PLEASE TELL ME HOW? I watched this riveting documentary and it was by far the best one I have seen yet. It was thought provoking, it was encouraging, and it was sad. The truth is in our faces. We are a nation on the brink of witnessing the exstinction of the black man. I want my son to see this documentary and to share it with his friends, so that he knows just how blessed he truly is. I am so happy that Mario Van Peebles has produced such a life changing documentary. No child should be without this DVD. Boy or Girl.

Thank you, I truly enjoyed your documentary, immediately following the conclusion I began searching the internet in hopes of obtaining a copy of the documentary, but I was unsuccessful. As a mother of a 15 year old daughter (who wasn’t home to watch), one who works with many young black males on a daily basis and a strong youth development (prepares today’s young people to meet the challenges of adolescence & adulthood, help them to become socially, morally, emotionally, physically,cognitively competent) advocate your documentary would be an excellent tool for me to utilize both personally and professionally. Hi my name is Ernest Moore, I am a 21 year old male from Philadelphia. My Aunt saw the your show a couple of weeks ago, and she told me about it, because the things I’m trying to do for the youth in my city, she said it would give me ideas and that it was a great show to watch. I watched the show yesterday at 4pm, and I couldn’t help but cry a little. It was so real and true. I see so much in Philly everyday, and I was like, this is the best show I have ever seen. I’m trying to open a daycare that prepares children for the future. The ages I was starting from was 6-weeks to the age of 12. I believe we need to push our African American youth from the age of 1. We need to prepare them for school and have them on a level to challenge the teachers in the public school system. Alot is unfair in this world, but we need to keep fighting to make things better and equal. I am willing to fight to the end, but it’s going to tak more then a couple people we need to all fight together. I loved your show I want to know how can I order it?
