The Art of Listening And The New Year!

As the year comes to a close, I am beginning to look back at the events that have shaped my life. From Break-up’s and make up’s to promotions, it has been a world wind of a year for me! One of the things that I realized is that I had been hearing people around me but the question is “Was I Listening To The People Around Me?” I have to admit that on most of occasions I was not and because of this I missed out on a lot of opportunities. Some of those opportunities included several relationships, friendships, and a few business connects; It is my lose. From now on, I’m listening and processing everything. The skill of listening is an important one and I think that I finally understand it. So to those folks that may have thought they were not “getting through to me,” you would be correct in that assumption but know that it was not intentional. I heard you but I probably was not listening. In 2010 things will be different. Relationships will be better taken care of and I will express my true feelings and not care what others may think! I have seen so much this year and although some things have been very painful, I know that it’s all part of my continued growth. I am grateful for my family, and friends and look forward to making things happen in 2010.
