Tru Shares: Recognize Real…Just say hello!!!
It amazes me that we are so scared to show how we feel about each other. We tip toe around and wonder “what might be.” We even go as far as to as live these imaginary lives with folks that we like. That’s crazy and kinda weird. You have people say stuff like “He or She is my imaginary boy/girlfriend.” What kinda of mess is that? Let’s keep it real and speak our mind. If we don’t, people will continue to walk in and out of our lives without ever knowing how we really feel.
POINT AND CASE:
Recently it has been brought to my attention that “someone” likes me. Wow! Really? No but seriously I have no doubt that I am desirable at some level. Who wouldn’t want a big thick caramel complexion brother with a job, house, car, and a somewhat shining personality? Anyway, So I got a call from a friend who I had’nt heard from in a while. I was a bit surprised when they relayed the news about two folks who have wanted to holla but didn’t know how to approach me. I was surprised and pretty excited. I asked why they never approached me and I was told that I sometimes look to be unapproachable, look to be busy with something, or I’m with someone and folks are unaware of the relationship. In most cases, people have decided to keep there distance and wonder. I have done the same thing and it always ends with me “people watching” all night long and never speaking up. Those days are over. FO SHO!!!
So to help you out the next time you want to holla, here is a short list of things to get my attention if your interested:
1) Email Me!!!
2) Show up at one of the many events that I talk about on FaceBook. (Papa Mojos, Karaoke at the Ale House, Etc…)
3) Show up nude at my house…(LOL) Not really!!!!
4) JUST SAY HELLO, KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT ME, AND BE PREPARED TO TELL ME ALL ABOUT YOU
I like option #4 but 1 + 2 are good options also!!! (Number 3 at your own risk!!!)
I hope that this clear’s some things up. No excuses. Don’t waste time wondering, JUST SAY HELLO!!!! If not to me, then to someone who you really are jones-ing for.
