Wow…I was a little worried about this game because I remember the original and the resulting ports that left much to be desired. I have to say that I was very pleased with this incarnation.

The latest addition to the series is supposed to be what Ghostbuster’s 3 would have been like if Ghostbuster’s 2 wasn’t so bad. This is a continuation that starts off 2 years after the last movie.

Game play is good and fans of the series will like the references to the previous movies. Fans will also love that the game because it features some of the music used in the films including Ray Parker Jr’s “Ghostbusters” Theme.

I played this game on the Wii and there is a bit of difference in the look of the game from the other consoles.

The Wii Ghostbusters have a cartoony look to it while the other systems have more life like characters. Designers make up for this on the Wii with the use of the Wii Remote which honestly I don’t know how they achieve the same game play on the other consoles. The Wii is the system to play this game on!!!!

Gamers play as a “rookie” in training who the fellas are using to test some new equipment. Your character in the game has no name and your fellow teammates seem to want to keep it that way so that they don’t get “too attached” if something was to happen.

The gadgets are pretty cool and after a while you get use to using them all; sometimes all at once to beat some of the bigger bosses.

The only real issue I have is that the game is really short. It only took me about 5 hours to play through the entire adventure. This game doesn’t have any real re-play value unless you really like beating the 5 level bosses over again or searching for the pages that you missed along the way.

Overall, the game is a good for fans old and new. The short game play could work in the designers favor because you never really get bored with the game play or the dialogue which is great because the original actors lend their voices to the film including Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Dan Akrode, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts. WOW.
